Charter
You can charter s/y Eugenia for a day or more,
or you can join us on a public sailing for 2-3 hours.

Program
We plan your sailing program according to your wishes and the crew will do their utmost to make your sailing trip unforgettable.

Passengers
 The vessel can take 25 passengers. There are 9 sleeping berths on board.

The Yacht
The Eugenia has a small galley with a stove and a refrigerator. The passenger space under deck
is modest, but cozy. Around the long table there is space for 12-13 persons.

HISTORY AND TODAY

S/y Eugenia is owned and operated by the non-profit-based association Pro Kimitoö-skutan r.f. The vessel is a replica of the last sailing yacht in Finland, which sailed in cargo traffic until 1951. The old Eugenia was built in 1879. The new Eugenia was launched in June, 2000.

  Starting her maiden voyage.

The aim of the association is to provide young people with sailing possibilities in order to promote their interest in traditional wooden ships, but s/y Eugenia can also be chartered by companies, associations and private persons.

The yacht mainly sails in the archipelago, concentrating on sailing tradition, archipelago culture and relaxation.

The trips are planned individually, with improvisation possibilities, depending on the weather and the wind and the requirements of the passengers. The passengers may participate in the sailing work on board.

The homeports of s/y Eugenia are Västanfjärd and Taalintehdas, on the Kemiö island, about one hour’s trip by car from Turku.
 

CLOSE TO NATURE

S/y Eugenia is small enough, but at the same time big enough to give you a safe feeling while being very close to both water and wind. The apparent silence when the ship moves on the water, goes deep inside you. You feel utterly near the nature.

 It is said, that nowhere else in the world can you find such beautiful sights as in the Turku archipelago, with its thousands of islands of different size, shape and nature. The inner islands have dense woods with green, soft vegetation, in opposite to the outer skerries that are rocky and bare, but still so fascinating.
S/y Eugenia can take you there, you can see it all, and your life will be an unforgettable experience richer.

You can just phone us or send us an e-mail when you have gathered your family around the idea of doing something really special during your holidays. Just tell us your wishes as to the program, date, duration and destination, and we will do our utmost to fulfil them.
 

BEFORE BOARDING

You can enjoy a delicious lunch or have a beer or a cup of coffee in the inviting cafeteria Café Eugenia—just a few steps from the quay and the landing stage of the yacht. Café Eugenia can also pack your picnic basket for the sailing trip!
